Growing up, I was a fan of Doc Watson, and before long I was hooked on the guitar.
I was intrigued with how a guitar was made, so a few years ago I decided to to build one.
To my surprise I liked it much better than a very good handmade guitar that I had purchased a few years before, and so I have continued to refine my skills, work with different woods, shapes, sizes, and build a few, fine handmade guitars.
My hope is to build several more in the coming months.
It's not an easy or short process, but is rewarding when you first string one up, and the sound you've been waiting to hear for so long, jumps from the box, in music that brings a smile to your face.
I've sold a couple of guitars now and have done some restoration projects, as well as repair & setups.
Trying to build the business to a place where I can spend more time in the shop and less at the 8-5 grind.
It's been a fun and exiting experience, and hopefully a lifelong career.
